Dr. Christian Barney is the founder and CEO of Performance Health and Wellness, and the Co-founder of Mind, Body, Transformation.
After receiving his doctorate degree with Cum Laude honors from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC), Dr. Barney started his general practice in Orange County in 1985, specializing in soft tissue and sports medicine. His goal has always been to help his patients reach their health goals and move without pain, and he continues to expand his skills every day so he can provide his patients with the most up-to-date, effective techniques. Dr. Barney holds advanced certifications in all levels of Active Release Techniques (ART), including Biomechanics. He is also proud to be a Lead Instructor for ART.
Dr. Barney has extensive education past the typical Chiropractor and holds two post-doctorate degrees. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is also a certified nutritionist and Kinesio Tape Certified Provider.
Dr. Barney is also a certified nutritionist, having studied nutritional and functional medicine for over 30 years. He is the Co-founder of the Mind-Body Transformation, a program designed to transform patients from a brain perspective, thereby creating new neurons in relation to weight loss and thus helping patients to shift their habits in order to reach some of the most difficult health goals.
