By law, chiropractors in all 50 states are Doctors of Chiropractic. It takes a minimum of six years of rigorous academic training and clinical internships in the sciences and health care to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic degree (DC).
A chiropractic curriculum follows the same curriculum as is used in medical school for the first two years. Active Release Techniques (ART) is a manual technique designed to restore motion and return the body to its natural state. Once an injury has been assessed, an ART specialist uses hands-on treatment and patient motion to “free up” the problem areas. This soft tissue management system is so unique that it has been granted a medical patent.
