Dr. David is a board-certified chiropractor specializing in Active Release Techniques (ART), with a strong foundation in movement, strength, and injury prevention. His journey into chiropractic care began at an early age, growing up with a father who was also an ART-certified chiropractor. Watching firsthand how his dad, Dr. Christian Barney, helped people live pain-free and return to the activities they love sparked a lasting passion for healing and human performance.
Before becoming a chiropractor himself, Dr. David spent eight years as a certified personal trainer, developing a deep understanding of biomechanics, movement quality, and individualized care. Today, he combines that fitness expertise with advanced clinical training to offer a comprehensive, hands-on approach to musculoskeletal health — treating everything from sports injuries and chronic pain to postural imbalances and mobility limitations.
Outside the clinic, Dr. David is a competitive beach volleyball player, currently ranked AA in the California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA). He’s also the founder of Popup Volleyball, a tournament company focused on creating high-energy, community-centered events for beach volleyball players. Whether he’s working with patients or competing on the sand, Dr. David brings a deep passion for movement, performance, and helping others thrive.
